Non-Invasive GScan (NIPT)
Non-invasive GScan (NIPT) is a new DNA based technology which can be performed from the 10th week of your pregnancy to safely test for any genetic abnormalities that your baby might have. Our NIPT test covers a range of genetic diseases such as Down’s syndrome (trisomy 21), Edward syndrome (trisomy 18), Patau syndrome (trisomy 13) and certain microdeletions.
- Easy
- Safe
- Early Detection
- Gender Identification
- Accurate
This test requires only a single tube of the mother’s blood. The baby’s DNA floats in the mother’s blood and it is extracted to do the NIPT test.
Our test is non-invasive, therefore has no threats of miscarriage compared to other techniques such as amniocentesis or CVS which has an increased risk of miscarriage rate.
The test can be performed from 10 weeks of gestation whereas the conventional tests can only be performed later in the pregnancy.
It is possible to identify your baby’s gender with our test.
The test has a very low false positive rate and more accurate compared with methods like the routine first trimester screening.
