Our environment has always been a concern and preservation of the living world has been one of the main focal points because of human misadventure. One of the largest offshore oil spills occurred in 2010 when the Deepwater Horizon sank in the Gulf of Mexico disseminating over 210 million gallons of oil into the ocean. Environmentalists, conservationists and the general public were aghast and the damage to the ocean was vast.
